CUMBERLAND, MD – The following incidents were reported by the Cumberland Police Department.
On August 8, 2022, Cumberland Police Department served numerous arrest warrants on Curtis Lester Hamilton Jr., 33, of Cumberland Maryland.
Arrest: Curtis Lester Hamilton Jr, age 33, Cumberland Maryland was charged with violation lifetime Sex Offender supervision, Sex Offender REG-Fail Notify, Child Abuse 2nd, Neglect of Minor, Assault second degree, contribute to conditions of Child, Violation of Probation X2, Failure to Comply.
Hamilton is currently held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
On August 8, 2022, officers of the Cumberland Police Department Arrested Loy Dale Eugene Linaweaver. Officers were called to a Springfield Street residence for an assault that just occurred. Officers arrived and made contact with both parties involved. The victim stated that he was assaulted by Linaweaver prior to Officers arriving. The victim indicated that Linaweaver became upset and struck him in the face and began to choke him. Officers observed marks consistent with the assault including distinct redness around the victims throat.
Loy Dale Eugene Linaweaver, age 62, Cumberland Maryland was arrested for Assault first degree, Assault Second Degree.
Linaweaver is currently held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
