A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging four Jamestown residents for their roles in a narcotics conspiracy. U.S. Attorney Trini Ross announced on Wednesday that 53-year-old Roberto Morales-Sanchez, 36-year-old Ryan Bloom, 36-year-old Rachelle Allison and 30-year-old Katie Calimeri were indicted for narcotics conspiracy, which carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life. The indictment was the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department and DEA.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Violanti, who is handling the case, stated that according to the indictment, between 2019 and December 2021, the defendants conspired to sell heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl in the Jamestown area. The defendants are also accused of using residences on Fairview Avenue and Willis Street for drug trafficking purposes. Bloom is also charged with distributing controlled substances, which caused serious bodily injury to an individual identified as A.R.
The defendants were arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Roemer. Sanchez, Bloom and Allison are being detained, while Calimeri was released.
