Woman Arrested for Arson, Says HCSO
This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
Amber Robina Adams
On August 9, 2022, at about 4:10 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business on the 1600 block of Central Avenue in McKinleyville for the report of a possible arson.
According to the reporting party, a female suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Amber Robina Adams, was observed setting a small fire outside the building. The fire reportedly quickly went out and did not cause substantial damage to the business.
While investigating, deputies received information that Adams was at a business nearby. Deputies located Adams and took her into custody without incident.
Adams was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of arson (PC 451(b)) and violation of probation (PC 1203.2(a)).

She lit a pile of paper on fire under the gas line leading into Central station and walked away. I got the deets from the bartender. Should be charged with attempted murder of 15 people trying to blow the place up. Definitely wasn’t cold on all them drugz
If the level of ineptness demonstrated by her can be elevated to a charge of attempted murder, then why wouldn’t all the violent felons and drug dealers be right in there too?

Yes very sad imagine if that was your daughter. I work everyday to do everything that I can to make sure my children do not turn out like that. Especially my daughter’s. Please parents remember you owe your kids everything they owe you nothing. You brought them in this world so give them every opportunity to achieve you can. It doesn’t always work but at least you did your part.
Whoever put a thumbs down to my comment must be a shitty parent and failure to your kids. You must take responsibility for your actions you failed your kids. Try and make things right with them. But you probably won’t.

I saw her walking through town yesterday after I went to the bank.
Rags or a scarf all wrapped up in her hair and more paint/makeup on her face than that, walking wobblly like she was on something.

I wonder how many people here have ever lost a business, a home, a beloved church, a town, precious pets or a loved one to arson. You don’t feel a whole lot of love or sympathy towards the arsonist. Not really. Think about it.

Ummm, although I kinda agree with what you are saying, I also believe people should be held accountable for their actions. This lady obviously has serious issues going on. Mental Health, addiction, I don’t know. I can’t see a situation where she would want help or is motivated to change. What do we do? Surround her with love and hope for the best? Meanwhile she continues to set fires just for the heck of it. It’s a sad situation all the way around.

I was surprised to see a female accused of arson.
I think arson is one of those crimes generally associated with males.
It does make me think, as others have stated, that it must be the affect of drugs.
It is tragic what crystal meth does to people.
I’ve seen it first hand.

This is sad, not a time to make fun of somebody’s haircut or the black bruises all around her eyes… (Assholes etc.) nobody out there in the world as any idea what she was trying to do; making a fire to cook with.. ? Arson is the intentional trying to burn a home, business or wildlands… Arson sets you up for a very long time in jail/prison, Even if you were just trying to cook food, which is a reality for homeless people out there on the streets of MacTown… Boy I really hope it wasn’t arson. I really hope she didn’t hurt anybody’s business or home…

If you really don’t have any heart for this woman and where she’s headed next presumably… You need to watch some of those shows on TV / YouTube about people in prison and just really the day-to-day struggles that they have to go through… Please everybody out there in the world keep yourself out of jail forward/prison…

Get her some counseling and drug test her. Like many people who act out in ways we cannot comprehend, she may have issues, current or from her past that may be causing her to do such things. Use COMPASSION. Offer REDEMPTION. And, to a reasonable degree, some consequences that will not undermine her ability to become a healthy member of the community.
Yeah, we can feel sorry for her, BUT just keep her locked up till fire season is over, ok?
