Tuesday’s scheduled hearing in Carbon County District Court in the matter of Stevens versus the Town of Saratoga was continued.

Court officials said the motion to postpone was filed Monday. According to the court docket, yesterday’s unopposed motion to vacate and reset the hearing will be the fourth time in the last 12 months the plaintiff has sought a continuance in the matter.

The two sides are at odds over a parcel of land between River Street and Highway 130 at the Hugus Ditch in Saratoga.

Yesterday’s continuance is in a case that first appeared on the docket in July of 2013. Earlier litigation goes back to at least 2010. Court officials thought yesterday’s hearing will be continued to either late September or early October.
