Carjacker puts gun to man's face, punches him in Brooklyn: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man in Brooklyn last month pointed a gun at a 51-year-old man and punched him in the head before escaping with the victim's car and other belongings, police said Wednesday as they released video of the suspect.

Police said that on July 24, around 9:30 a.m., the suspect approached the victim as he was walking to his car near Beverly Road and East 54th Street in East Flatbush.

The man then demanded his property and his vehicle, pointed a gun at him and punched him.

According to police, the suspect fled to parts unknown with the victim's vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Highlander, cellphone and other personal items that were inside the vehicle, all valued around $9,180.

He is described as being 40 to 45 years old, 6'0" tall, 160 pounds, with a medium build and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, black shorts, black durag around his head and carrying a red and black fanny pack around his shoulder.
