Amongst several celebrations at last night’s Lebanon R3 School Board meeting, the recent rise in teacher pay was praised once again. High School Teacher Amanda Perschall took time during the public comments portion of the meeting to express her gratitude.

At the July meeting, the Board approved a 5% increase in teacher pay. That increase puts them ahead of their original schedule of increasing teacher pay that began in 2018 called proposition Lebanon Schools. At the beginning of that proposition Lebanon ranked 18th out of 20 comparable schools, they now rank 14th according to Superintendent Dr. David Schmitz
