The Albany Police Department recently arrested an individual for damaging a building.
On August 6, officers responded to the 300 Block of W Roosevelt Blvd in reference to a suspicious person.
According to a media release from APD, the reporting party saw a black male throwing rocks at an abandoned building in the area.
At the time officers were unable to make contact with the property owner.
Two days later, on August 8, the property owner contacted police regarding the building’s damage.
The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Demetrius Tucker, the release states.
Tucker was arrested for the offense of Criminal Damage to property 2nd degree and transported to Dougherty County Jail.
