Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in Calera that left a woman dead, injured two others, and shut down Highway 31 for several hours Wednesday. Learn more in the video above.The wreck happened at about 9:45 a.m. north of Highway 70 and involved a tractor-trailer and at least two cars. Later in the afternoon, the Shelby County Coroner identified the victim in the crash as 24-year-old Jacqueline Grace Beverley.Calera Police Department shared this message on Facebook just before 3 p.m.:"Tragically, the accident today on Highway 31 in Calera resulted in a fatality and two injuries. The accident involved one 18-wheeler and two passenger vehicles. The 18-wheeler is being moved now and 31 should be open soon. "We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during the medical response and accident investigation."The cause of the wreck is unknown at this time.
