U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski funeral is Thursday. What you need to know

Ceremonies to mourn the death of former U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski conclude with her public funeral service, set to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Granger Community Church.

Doors open for the funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday. Walorski's service begins in the Granger church's auditorium at 11 a.m. and is expected to end by 12:30 p.m. The church is providing a live stream of the service, which The Tribune will host on its homepage and Facebook page.

A procession will then leave the church and take the congresswoman to be buried at Southlawn Cemetery on U.S. 31 south of Kern Road in South Bend, with arrival expected about 1 p.m.

The burial ceremony is open to the public, and another recommended area for residents to watch the procession is Grissom Middle School, at the intersection of Kern and Elm Roads.
