State police in Bedford County say three men are facing charges after they allegedly attempted to rob a West Virginia man outside a party over the weekend.
Troopers say 18-year-old Tyler Bumgardner, of Everett, 18-year-old Jadin Zinn, of Clearville, Pa and 19-year-old Xavier Barger, of Rawlings. Maryland, face charges of attempted robbery, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, according to online court documents.
Investigators say on Tuesday, the victim came to the PSP Bedford barracks to report that he had been assaulted outside a farm, located along Mechanics Hollow Drive, in West Providence Township, by three men.
Police say, according to the victim, he had driven a friend to a party at the address, early Sunday morning, and while he was waiting for his friend to leave, three men approached his vehicle.
Troopers say Bumgardner allegedly brandished a tan colored pistol and asked the victim, "what do you got?"
Police say when the victim told the men that he did not have anything, the three men allegedly began punching him.
Following the assault, investigators say the victim then drove himself to Berkeley Medical Center, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, where he was treated for an orbital fracture to his left eye socket, the affidavit states.
Court dockets show that Bumgardner was taken into custody early Wednesday morning and has been released on unsecured $50,000 bail.
Police are still searching for the other two men and anyone with information regarding their whereabouts should contact the Bedford State Police barracks at (814) 623-6133.
