Robert "Bob" Eugene Fox

Robert "Bob" Eugene Fox, age 83, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. 

Bob was born on April 6, 1939, in Coffeyville to Norman and Ruby (McGaugh) Fox.  He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School.  Bob then enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1957. 

From a young age Bob was always a very hard worker.  He started out working for several different filling stations around town then he was employed by Holford Plumbing where he was a plumber's helper.  He went on to work for Parkersburg Rig and Reel which is now Parmac.  He was then hired by Funk MFG Co. now known as John Deere Coffeyville Works where he worked until his retirement. 

Bob was married to Karleen Jones, of the union two sons were born, David and Dennis Fox.  The couple later divorced.  Later on, Bob married Janie Smith.  From their union two sons were born, Mark and Michael Fox.  The couple was later divorced. 

Bob was a long-time active member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge #102 A.F. & A.M.  Mirza Temple Shrine.  He was also fun-loving and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Bob loved to dance and went every Friday and Saturday evening for over 10 years with Linda Hannigan and her brother and sister-in-law Gene and Ann Marie Hobbs.  One of his other loves in life was his Harley Davidson Motorcycle putting over 80,000 miles on it.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

Surviving to cherish Bob's memory are his sons, David Fox of Coffeyville, Kansas, Dennis Fox of Topeka, Kansas, longtime companion and caregiver, Linda Hannigan and her family.  He is also survived by his many extended relatives and friends.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ruby Fox, two sons, Mark Fox and Michael Fox and one brother. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  The family will greet friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.  Pastor Doug Mund will officiate. 

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Coffeyville Friends of Animals; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
