The new home to land dink balls, double hits and drop ball volleys is now complete in Jones County following the renovation of the pickleball courts at the Morris Bank Recreation Complex.

In all, a space for a total of six pickleball courts is now carved out, giving area pickleball enthusiasts a place close to home to pursue the growing sport of which surrounding communities have also put forth of an investment of facilities. Milledgeville, for example, will host the GRPA District 6 Championships Aug. 26-28.

Newly painted and lined for the sport of pickleball, the courts are now more specific to the growing sport, and with the surface being lined for pickleball, there is no confusion for players with the court not being double-lined for tennis and pickleball, as is the case at some venues such as John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon.
