Employees of several Providence hospitals in Northern California claim they’re losing out on thousands of dollars in wages. The healthcare workers, including those at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, say a new payroll system has been a disaster. The new system, called Genesis, was launched about a month ago. Frustrated employees say in that time, there have been reductions in base pay, missing or unpaid time off, unpaid work hours, and missing retirement contributions. The president of the Staff Nurses Association also says several newly hired nurses haven’t been paid at all since the new payroll system went into effect on July 8th.
