Price City’s Culture Connection is hosting its final summer concert on Thursday, August 11 at 7:00 pm at the Peace Garden. Laura Olson with Olson Entertainment stopped by Castle Country Radio to discuss all the details of this final performance.
This was the first year for Olson Entertainment to organize the acts for Culture Connection and looking back they feel the season went well. “I think it went way better than we thought it was going to be. More people have shown up than we thought would show up. The bands have performed better than we thought. It’s just all around I feel like it has surprised us and blown us out of the water,” said Olson. The bands that were booked this season ranged from alternative to country, to songs of Broadway and the big army band.
The final outdoor summer concert is set to take place on Thursday, August 11 with two bands. “We’re really excited, I guess I’m very, very excited, we kind of saved the best for last. So both of these bands are pretty talented with their performance. They have had a lot of experience by headlining and touring with bigger artists in really cool venues across the country. For example, Suit Up Solider they have toured, the young crowd if any of you know, Coin, the band Coin, they toured with them. Headlined with Imagine Dragons, they’ve kind of been there, done that. Michael Barrow & The Tourists, they have the same experience. They’ve toured in cool places all across the country, headlined for big festivals that have happened here in the states. Bringing them here, its going to be great, you don’t want to miss this week,” stated Olson. The first act will perform at 7:00 pm and be following by the second group at around 8:30 pm.
Guests can plan on enjoying dinner while there as there will be food trucks stationed at the event. Scheduled to be at the outdoor concert is Ruben’s BBQ, and Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck. All menu items are very affordable for the entire family and will be open throughout the night. Spectators are reminded to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as they find a spot to sit and enjoy the band.
