Penn State Football: Beaver Stadium Gate C Expansion Nears Completion

no description

Beaver Stadium is inching closer towards the season just a month from the home opener against Ohio on September 10th and the newest and most notable change to the stadium this summer is nearing completion.

An expansion to the Gate C concourse area is seemingly just a few days or weeks from completion as a summer’s-long project wraps up on the west side of the stadium. The plans, which were originally approved by the College Township Council on April 7th include the expansion of the Gate C region in addition to some landscaping changes on Porter Road.

The renovations are similar to a Gate E expansion which took place last offseason.

“The plan includes grading, removal of trees and expanded walkways to ensure the safety and ease of access for pedestrians,” College Township engineer Don Franson wrote in a memo to council.
