Chilli doesn’t want “No Scrubs,” but she doesn’t want Matthew Lawrence — romantically — either.
In what might be one of the ultimate ’90s crossovers, the TLC singer and the “Boy Meets World” alum were photographed getting close to each other Monday on a beach in Hawaii, but a rep for Chilli told TMZ the duo are simply friends.
TLC happened to have a performance on the island, which Lawrence and his friends watched. Given that Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Ocelean Thomas, and Lawrence have been longtime friends, they decided to meet up at a later time.
The wildly nostalgic sighting comes as the “Mrs. Doubtfire” actor, 42, has remained out of the public eye as he goes through a divorce from Cheryl Burke.
The “Dancing With the Stars” pro, 38, filed to dissolve their three-year marriage in February, though she listed their date of separation as Jan. 7.
The filing, obtained by Page Six, also stated that the now-estranged couple’s prenuptial agreement — dated three days before they married — was in “full force and effect and is fully binding upon the parties.”
While Lawrence has not publicly acknowledged the divorce, Burke has admitted she is “kind of lonely” without a husband.
“At the end of the day, you know, when I close my eyes and go to bed, it is kind of lonely,” she said on her podcast, “Burke in the Game.”
“I wouldn’t mind having a text relationship with someone or even just someone to flirt with.”
