HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Kentucky State Police has launched an investigation in Harlan County regarding an apparent murder-suicide.
KSP received a report just after 9 p.m. Tuesday that two individuals had been shot on Jonathan Drive in Harlan County. Troopers and detectives began an investigation once they reported to the scene.
Initial investigation indicates 39-year-old Phoebe Cloud was shot by her husband, 39-year-old Mitchell Cloud, before turning the firearm on himself.
Harlan County Deputy Coroner Jim Rich pronounced both individuals deceased at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing regarding this incident.
