Detectives seeking information on fatal hit-and-run crash in Dayton; Can you help?

DAYTON — Detectives are seeking information from the public about a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Dayton last week.

On Friday, Aug. 5, at 11:22 p.m. 52-year-old Malik A. Mize was crossing North Main Street at Hillcrest Avenue when a vehicle hit him, according to Dayton police.

Detectives are looking for a dark colored or black SUV that could have front-end damage. The SUV continued north on North Main Street after it hit Mize, according to police.

The vehicle did not stop and Mize died from his injuries, police said.
