WASHINGTON (7News) —
A Southeast D.C. woman died after being shot multiple times Wednesday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Savannah Street Southeast at approximately 8:15 a.m. That's where they found 52-year-old Leslie Simpson, of Southeast, D.C., dead from gunshot wounds.
D.C. police said in a news conference Wednesday that they believe the incident was a targeted attack that was "domestic in nature."

As a result of the detective’s investigation, the suspect, identified as 65-year-old Steven Dreher, of Southeast, D.C., was located dead in Laurel, Md. as a result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
