Fargo police arrest suspect in shooting

Fargo police have arrested a 21-year-old male in connection with an August 6th shooting.  Braden Poitra -with no permanent address – was arrested without incident and taken into custody at approximately 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday in Dilworth (MN).

Poitra was arrested on an unrelated felony warrant issued through the Minnesota Department of Corrections. He is being held in the Clay County Jail on the charge of attempted murder for his involvement in the shooting that occurred on the 3300 block of 35th Avenue South in Fargo.  The victim sustained an injury to his arm.

The Fargo Police Department collaborated with the Moorhead Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Marshals Service in this arrest.
