YEAH, THIS COMES AS THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT KEON. HE WAS. THIS DEATH NEARLY TWO WEEKS AFTER HE LOST HIS LIFE. THE CROWD OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AT LEAST THE COLORFUL BALLOONS IN THE PARK TUESDAY AFTERNOON. NOW, ACCORDING TO J.P. DE, THE 32 YEAR OLD HUGHES CRASHED AFTER HE WAS SHOT AND KILLED ON I-55 FIVE AND NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD NEAR MCDOWELL ROAD. THAT WAS AROUND 1:00 IN THE MORNING ON JULY 29TH. HIS BEST FRIEND SAYS HIS DEATH LEAVES A HUGE VOID AND NOTHING HE WOULD DO FOR ANYBODY. IF IT WAS SOMETHING THAT HE COULD DO, HE WOULD DO IF IT WAS 30, GIVE YOU A JOB, LONELY, YOU MIGHT. HE DON’T CARE IF YOU WERE REALLY NICE. IF YOU GOT ALL IN THREE OR 4:00 IN THE MORNING. HE WILL MAKE HIS LEAVE THIS TO YOU KNOW, MAKE SURE YOU GOT A RIDE HOME FROM WORK THESE IS I REALLY DO HATE IT. THIS WAS LIKE VERY UNFORTUNATE TO HAPPEN TO A GREAT PERSON. INVESTIGATOR WHO SAY THEY DON’T KNOW IF HUGHES WAS SHOT WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THE CITY OR THE SHOOTING HAPPENED IN A NEARBY TOWN. Family and friends gathered Tuesday to remember a man who was shot and killed on the interstate.A balloon release was held at Freedom Ridge Park in honor of 32-year-old Kion Hughes. Jackson police said Hughes crashed after he was shot about 1 a.m. July 29 on the I-55 north frontage road near McDowell Road. Those who knew and loved him are just beginning to grapple with the pain of the tragic loss."There was nothing he wouldn't do for anybody. If there was something he could do, he would do it," said Hughes' best friend Keith Bracey. "I really do hate that this was very unfortunate to happen to a great person."Investigators said they don't know if Hughes was shot in the city, or if the shooting happened elsewhere.
