Oshkosh's Spirit Halloween opened in August at 1530 S. Koeller St. The seasonal pop-up store is open through early November.

OSHKOSH – The scares are back and bigger than ever at the newly relocated Spirit Halloween

The popular costume and themed home décor store returned to Oshkosh Aug. 4, now at a new and bigger location — the former Party City, 1530 S. Koeller St.

Assistant manager Skylar Nourse said the bigger space allows for more merchandise, including an interactive animatronics system guests can walk through, as well as more decorations and costumes.

Those include new licenses for popular movies and TV shows such as "Yellowstone," "Dino Ranch," "Encanto," "The Incredibles," "Ted Lasso," "Bluey," "The Wizard of Oz" and "Squid Game," according to Spirit Halloween's website.

These are in addition to popular products it's showcased in years past, including Disney princesses, "Hocus Pocus" and "Bettlejuice."

Nourse said the store also has pet costumes, which she expects to be popular this year.

She started working for the company last year at its old location next door to Rogan's Shoes, 2145 S. Koeller St. She said the old space had "a lot of sales" last year, but she expects to exceed those in the larger space.

Spirit Halloween has more than 1,400 stores across the United States. In addition to costumes, the company is known for its collection of Halloween animatronics, props, yard decorations and more themed merchandise, as well as makeup and accessories.

Oshkosh's Spirit Halloween is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The seasonal Halloween store uses short-term leases at vacant spaces from roughly mid-August to early November. Before Rogan Shoes, the Oshkosh location been inside the former Shopko building, which is being converted to a storage facility
