The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. They approved of workers at the Knoxville Nationals parking on the VA grounds back by the old laundry building.

Approval was also given to Freedom of Youth Ministries to hold an event on the courthouse lawn September 1 for a program called “Back to Program Bash.”

An update was presented on the Prairie Ridge Project in Pella. A total of 68 lots will be available when completed; currently 26 units are finished.

Discussion and an update also took place on Opioid Litigation. The county received a check of $31,500 from a settlement with pharmaceutical companies.
