Curt Froyen, a Knoxville resident and former high school teacher, is Commander of the Knoxville American Legion Baty-Tucker Post 168. He is searching for veterans to ride on the float Saturday in the Knoxville Nationals Parade.

Froyen tells KNIA/KRLS News why it is important to honor our veterans, “It’s a great way to honor them and be recognized for their service to their country.”

The VFW is teaming up with the American Legion in search for veterans to ride on the float. The float will be located at Riverside Church for veterans to get on the float. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and veterans should show up no later than 10:30.
