NIC: Trustee Wold is a dedicated community volunteer

I want to congratulate Dr. David Wold, John Goedde and the other members of the volunteer North Idaho College Board of Trustees who have worked so hard to return North Idaho College to the academic position it should be. It’s not there yet, but great progress has been made.

It was therefore disappointing that when new candidate Ronald Hartman announced his candidacy in the Coeur d’Alene Press on July 30, he was not more generous in his comments. I have served with Dave Wold on various community boards over the years and find his use of procedure to be just fine and his dedication to be outstanding. It is my hope that as candidate Hartman spends some more time in Idaho, he develops a kinder, gentler persona and becomes a viable candidate for one of our community boards, where volunteers are always needed.
