The Brentwood Police Department arrested five individuals Tuesday evening in connection with an armed robbery in the downtown area of the City of Brentwood.
According to police, just before 7:00 pm, they were made aware of several armed robberies that had just occurred involving multiple victims in the city hall parking garage and area of city park–both adult and juveniles victims. The victims reported a firearm was used in the robberies.
While responding, police located the suspect vehicle and eventually pursued it to the area of Sycamore Drive and Robin Street where all five suspects were taken into custody after a high risk vehicle stop.
Upon search of the vehicle, multiple items from the victims were recovered and the vehicle was released to the owner. Police did not identify what was recovered or the estimated cost from the robberies.
Police said the suspects were described as 2 adults and 3 juveniles from both the City of Brentwood and City of Oakley.
No other information was released.
BRENTWOOD POLICE UPDATE: ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
BRENTWOOD, CA- On Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 around 6:16 p.m., we responded to Windsor Park for an altercation that started at the City Hall parking structure. The victims had been at the parking structure where a group of suspects challenged them to fight, then followed them to Windsor Park in a vehicle and threatened them with a gun. No one was injured during the altercations.
While officers were investigating this incident, another group of victims was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint by the same suspects at the parking structure.
A short while later, a Brentwood officer spotted the suspects’ vehicle and all five suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Christian Sanchez (21) of Brentwood, Jonathan Sanchez (18) of Brentwood, Suspect #3 (16) of Oakley, Suspect #4 (16) of Oakley, Suspect #5 (17) of Brentwood, were all placed under arrest for robbery, battery, and other related charges. All other names were withheld due to age.
The alleged firearm used in the incident was never recovered.

Firearm Recovered Tuesday Afternoon
In a separate incident, according to police, a traffic stop occurred just before 2:00 pm on Sunrise Drive. A firearm was recovered. No other details were released.
