    Hilda Crisp Mintz, 70, of Murphy, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, in a Murphy hospital.
    She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. She was a graduate of Andrews High School, and had obtained and maintained her cosmetology license throughout her life.
    She had worked the last 15 years for H.T. Hackney until retiring in 2013.
    She attended Owl Creek Baptist Church.
    Hilda was creative and enjoyed crafting. She was also an exceptional cook, and enjoyed baking and making candies, a skill that she lovingly taught her granddaughters.
    She was the daughter of the late Posey and Catherine Hughes Crisp.
    Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Lonnie M. Mintz; two daughters, Katheryn Swanson and husband Tommy of Leland, N.C., and Amanda Mintz Mashburn of Murphy; four granddaughters, Haley and Lexey Swanson, and Trinity and Temperance Mashburn; her beloved brothers and sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; and a sister and a brother.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, with Dr. Chester Jones and The Rev. Farris Reid officiating. Music was provided by Sherry Palmer. Interment was in Owl Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Neal Kephart, Larry Kephart, David Mintz, Tom Wright, Travis Decker and Jim Palmer. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Swanson and Larry Mintz.
    The family received friends from noon-1:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, prior to the services.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, was in charge of all arrangements.
