A fourth person who deputies say is connected to a Clovis kidnapping case back in 2016 has been arrested.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that 25-year-old Brandon Roque of Madera is facing charges of kidnapping, torture, conspiracy, sexual assault, and intimidating a witness.

This comes as members of a Grand Jury determined in a hearing a probable cause for his arrest.

He was taken into custody on August 3rd.

At the time of the crime, in February 2016, the sheriff’s office says a 13-year-old girl was grabbed by a group of masked men while walking home from school in Clovis.

She was forced into the trunk of a car and driven about 20 miles to Tollhouse where she was tied to a tree, sexually assaulted, and beaten.

The men left her there but she was able to walk to a nearby home to call for help.

Detectives arrested Sandra Garcia of Madera, her son Mark Anthony Roque, plus Garcia's cousin, Miguel Carriedo of Lompoc.

Now, investigators have arrested Brandon Roque who is Garcia’s other son. The Grand Jury has also decided to indict all four suspects.

Detectives say the woman was in a relationship with the girl's father and they say she orchestrated the kidnapping.

Roque is now at the Fresno County Jail; his bail sits at $705,000.
