Two men rob multiple stores in central Florida

The Polk County Sheriff's Office needs help identifying two men after they robbed multiple stores at gunpoint in central Florida on Sunday.

According to deputies, the men entered the Family Dollar in Poinciana just after the store opened at 7 a.m.

Surveillance video from the Family Dollar, shows one of the men showing the cashier his handgun and demanding all the money in the registers. According to detectives, after retrieving the money, the men fled the scene in a unknown car.

Detectives later learned that the two men were also involved in the theft of lottery tickets from a 7-Eleven at 398 Marigold Ave. at 1:30 a.m. the same day.

The sheriff's office says, one of the robbers changed his shirt between the two crimes. Detectives say luckily no one was injured during the robberies.
