A veteran presence will be joining the Dallas Cowboys. The team will be waving rookie K Jonathan Garibay, and signing former Nebraska specialist Brett Maher per Robert Phillips of DallasCowboys.com.

This is his 3rd time joining the Cowboys, as he was with team in 2013, 2018, and 2019. Maher was 1st signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2013, before joining the Dallas Cowboys in the same year.

The former Husker has also spent time in the CFL with the Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Other NFL teams that he has been include the Cleveland Browns (2017), Washington Football Team (2020), Houston Texans (2020), Arizona Cardinals (2020), and New Orleans Saints (2021).

The journeyman will be adding another notch to his belt after returning to Dallas for another stint. Maher made 88% of his field goal attempts and 83% of his extra points with a season-long of 42 yards in 2021.
