Following the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday, former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik tweeted what he thinks will happen next if the raid doesn't prevent Trump from running for office again.

"And just like in other Third World countries, if today’s raid by Biden’s FBI does not stop Donald Trump from running for president in 2024, their next move will be Assassination," Kerik tweeted.

Kerik quote tweeted Richard Grenell, former Acting Director of the United States National Intelligence under Trump, who said that President Joe Biden "has weaponized the US government for his political purposes."

"Third World dictators prosecute their political enemies. @JoeBiden has weaponized the US government for his political purposes. It’s outrageous. And creating a terrible precedent," Grenell tweeted.

Both reiterated Trump's claim that America has become a corrupt, third-world country.

"Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before," Trump said in the statement on Truth Social.

Many other Trump supporters called out the FBI for its unannounced raid of Trump's home, as FOX News' Laura Ingraham said "the real target of this investigation is you or anyone who dares to call out and take on the rank corruption of the D.C. establishment."

Kerik appeared on Newsmax TV to discuss the FBI raid of Trump's home, and repeated his belief that the government's next step to stop Trump from running for election would be assassination.

"If you remember back in 2016, right before he got elected, I was in Washington D.C. I was at a couple of different social events, and I hear people talking, they said the Democrats want this guy so bad, that they wouldn't put assassination behind it," Kerik said. "I'm gonna tell you something, they've tried impeachment, they've tried another impeachment, they've tried one investigation after another. This is about one thing, this is about stopping him from running in 2024.

"And I'm going to tell you something, I'm not into conspiracies, I'm not into antigovernment rhetoric. This is the first time in my lifetime that I would say I am deathly afraid for Donald Trump. I would not put assassination behind these people, I just wouldn't."

Kerik also said on Twitter that he sides with Trump "because this is tyranny."

"I stand with President Donald J. Trump. Not because he was the President of the United States, but because this is tyranny. There is no greater threat to our Republic than a government that breaks its own laws, to deprive its citizens of liberty and freedom. #BananaRepublic," Kerik tweeted.
