University of Pikeville Announces the UPIKE Family Flood Support Initiative

University of Pikeville officials recently announced the UPIKE Family Flood Support Initiative to support people and areas affected by the devastating flooding that hit Eastern Kentucky in late July.

University Officials also encouraged people to donate to the UPIKE Student Emergency Fund, which was established in 2020 to help students who were impacted by disasters further their education.

Anyone interested can donate by going online and visiting upike.edu/floodrelief

UPIKE is also allowing students that have been displaced by the floods to move in early for the fall semester. Shower facilities are available for students in need. For additional information, You can email housing@upike.edu or call (606) 218-5224.

Students in Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Knott, Letcher, Perry and Pike counties can now apply for FEMA relief assistance online by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov to apply for FEMA relief assistance.
