Yuma Regional Medical Center welcomes new class of Medicine Residents

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is welcoming a new class of residents who will receive training at the hospital's Family Medicine Center.

Eight Family & Community Medicine residents recently graduated from medical school and will spend the next three years treating patients under the mentorship of other YRMC doctors.

Members of the class are:

· Deya Ajaleh, MD

· Ravi Jagani, MD

· Mirna Mikhael, MD

· Jason Pannozzo, MD

· Jagat Patel, MD

· Kaitlyn Pesterfield, MD

· Vishav Sehdev, MD

· Derrick Smith, MD

“We are truly excited to welcome our tenth class of family medicine residents and our third sports medicine fellow,” said Dr. Kristina Diaz. “While a medical residency is important for recent graduate physicians, the program also benefits our community by increasing access to healthcare. By creating a better place to live, work and grow, this is a win for both our patients and our new family medicine residents.”
