BOWLING GREEN, Ky.– Bluegrass Supply Chain Services is expanding and building its second location in the community.

According to the office of Gov. Andy Beshear, the company’s $25 million investment will create 110 new jobs in the area.

“I want to thank the leaders at Bluegrass Supply Chain Services for growing the company’s presence in Bowling Green and continuing to serve key industries in the commonwealth,” said Beshear “This investment highlights the continued growth of existing businesses in our state, which play an integral role in building a brighter future for Kentuckians.”

BSC, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in September, was founded in Bowling Green and provides value-added warehousing and supply chain services to customers of automotive, food and beverage and consumer products, according to the governor’s office.

“We are excited to develop a new corporate office, warehouse space and a truck facility to support our operations in Bowling Green and Warren County. This community has been fantastic for our business. The location on 68/80 provides us easy access to the new connector road to Interstate 65 and close proximity to many of our customers,” said John Higgins, CEO of Bluegrass Supply Chain Services.

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce stated in a release that the company’s job creation and investment will have a large economic impact on the region that will surpass $184 million over the next decade and will support an additional 169 jobs in the community.

Company leaders expect work on the project to begin in October 2022 and be completed by January 2024.
