A man and woman died Tuesday morning in a murder-suicide in Hueytown.
Hueytown police received the first call at 9:13 a.m. Chief Mike Yarbrough said a witness told police that a man had shot himself and told him he had harmed his wife at another location.
The man was pronounced dead in the yard of a residence in the 1400 block of Hueytown Road. His name is being withheld pending notification of family, but he was 49 years old.
Police were able to identify the second location, which was the 200 block of Notting Hill Circle. When they arrived there at 9:23 a.m., they found a woman dead from a gunshot wound.
Her name also is being withheld until her family is notified, but she was 33.
