The owners of a popular Italian restaurant on Long Island have shared plans to open up a new pizza parlor in the near future.

The owners of Vespa Italian Kitchen & Bar in Farmingdale made the announcement on Friday, July 15.

Dalers Pizza Parlor will be located at 325 Main St. in Farmingdale.

Owner Benedetto LoManto said they're hoping to open in late November or early December once renovations are complete.

LoManto added that he grew up in the pizza business, and he's looking forward to returning to his roots.

"I'm going to go back to my old-school roots and dig up some recipes that I was really known for when I had my other pizzerias in the past, and then kind of bring them to life again," he said.

He said he plans to keep the menu simple.

In addition to pizza, he plans to offer a few dishes made from scratch with quality sauce, such as stuffed shells, lasagna, chicken parmesan, and eggplant parmesan.
