Police Beat for Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

Salem Police arrested a 31-year-old Salem woman for possession of methamphetamine.  Maleah Durham was arrested during a Monday night traffic stop in the 500 block of West Main while she was a passenger in the vehicle.

Centralia Police arrested 32-year-old Riley Sanders of Ridge Road in Centralia for aggravated assault.

Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 20-year-old Shane Miles who told authorities he was homeless was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant.
  • 49-year-old David Cluck of North Cherry in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on outstanding Jefferson and White County warrants.  He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bond.
  • 27-year-old Kellie Whitehouse of South Elm in Centralia was arrested in Clinton County on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant.  She was transported back to the Marion County Jail where she is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
  • 44-year-old Shaun Vaughn of North Beech in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding traffic warrant.  Bond is set at $2,500.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary of a residence in the 3000 block of Hoots Chapel Road in Salem.
