BALDHILL DAM, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for (Civil Works) Jaime Pinkham and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Major Gen. Diana Holland, commander of the Mississippi Valley Division visited with local Corps of Engineer managers, Rich Schueneman and Scott Tichy on Monday, August 8th.

The leaders met at the Mel Rieman Recreation Center, northwest of Valley City to look at the area and the impact it has had on the community for camping and recreation opportunities since 1953 centering on Baldhill Dam.

Major Gen. Holland complimented the work of Rich Schueneman and Scott Tichy.

Schueneman and Tichy received medals of recognition for their work at Baldhill Dam and the recreational center.

On Tuesday, August 9th Pinkham attended a ribbon cutting ceremony on the construction of the Metro Flood Diversion project.

Pinkham, Holland and congressional leaders from North Dakota and Minnesota attended the ribbon cutting ceremony southeast of Argusville, ND on Tuesday, August 9th.
