High school Fall sports season approaches

High school fall sports practices begin next Monday. 

This past Monday evening Junction City High School officials reviewed fall sports procedures for students, parents and guardians. 

Randall Zimmerman is beginning his 29th season as the head football coach at JCHS. The first day of practice will include arrival of players at 3:50 p.m. followed by team meetings at 4 p.m. followed by normal regular practice. 

There will be a public scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 20th, the Blue / White scrimmage on Aug. 26th and the first game will be at Hays on Sept. 2nd. The home opener will be against Dodge City on Sept. 9th.

Other fall sports at JCHS include volleyball, boys and girls cross country, girls tennis, girls golf and boys soccer.
