Port Jefferson hair salon owner Kristine Murillo and her team were responsible for glamming up the beautiful models at the annual Hamptons Fashion Week show over the weekend at the Southhampton Arts Center.

Murillo, who owns Fedora Lounge Boutique Hair Salon and Hair Replacement Studio in the village, has worked more than a dozen shows during New York Fashion Week in recent years. This was her fourth year as creative director of hair for Hamptons Fashion Week.

“It’s the biggest show they’ve had yet,” Murillo said. “We started out small and it’s an amazing fashion show every year now.”

She and the rest of her Fedora Lounge squad had the opportunity to get creative with their hairdos, Murillo said.

“The styles are fun, a lot of the designers wanted more fun hair and a lot of different looks,” she said. “I’m excited to be working with Nicole Miller this year, and styling her hair.”

Nicole Miller received a Fashion Icon Award for her 40-year contribution to the fashion industry.

During the weekend event, designer Cesar Galindo, fashion writer Constance White and designer Gloria Lee were also recognized.

In addition to gorgeous clothing pieces, The “Hamptons Super Saturday” event featured local designers and a wide array of brands, along with tasty cocktails and snacks.
