Toddler death investigated in Logan County, Arkansas

The death of a 3-year-old child in a camper fire is being investigated in Logan County, authorities report.

On Saturday, Aug. 6, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office 911 dispatch received a call of a camper on fire in the Roseville area in north Logan County.

Despite a quick response by the Roseville Fire Department, the camper was already fully engulfed when deputies arrived. The child died in the fire, investigators determined.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the Logan County Emergency Medical Services, the Paris Police Department, and the Logan County Coroner’s Office all assisted in the call along with the Roseville Fire Department.

"Our prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased child. It was a hard event for all of us involved and we thank all of the first responders and the volunteers in the Roseville community who helped," the department reported.
