DETROIT -- A woman who was dancing on the dashboard of a car she was riding in drew the attention of a conservation officer recently and ended up getting herself and the driver of the car ticketed.

Michigan Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer David Schaumburger was patrolling Belle Isle when he noticed a woman was twerking on the dashboard of the car behind him. The woman was sitting backward, not wearing a seatbelt and dancing in the car.

Schaumburger stopped the car and after approaching the vehicle, saw two plastic cups filled with an unknown liquid. The driver told the officer there was juice in the cup before Schaumburger asked if there was alcohol in it as well. The driver confirmed there was alcohol in the cup and Schaumburger also noticed an open bottle of tequila on the passenger side floor.

Both women were ticketed for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. The DNR did not release the identities of the women ticketed.
