KEEPING PACE: Area pacers stride out in Tulsa run

Several hearty Bartlesville-area path pounders rounded out a field of more than 120 runners at Saturday’s Tess Trail 5K Run in Tulsa.

Nowata’s Hester Burton won the female 65-69 age division (:47.44) and Bartlesville’s Lucas Brittain grabbed second place in the male 30-34 group (:54.58).

Nowata’s Tonya Buster made the leaderboard muster in the female 50-54 age group by coming in third (:52.41); Bartlesville’s Cassie Walters landed in third in the female 30-34 group (:43.49).

Bartlesville’s Kelli Bloxom nailed down fourth place (:59.12) in the female 60-64 group, Bartlesville’s Jim Nichols notched fifth place (1:05.23) in the male 50-54 competition and Bartlesville’s Mary Campbell captured sixth place (:54.56) in the female 30-34 division.

Owasso’s Randel Hamilton (male, 30-34) won the overall title (:30.33), followed by Tulsa’s Jim Fisher (male, 55-59) in :30.4. Auringer McKenna (female, 16-19) of Piedmont sped to the fastest female time (:31.22) and third overall.
