James (Jimmy) Bird, 77, formerly of Ponca city, passed away unexpectedly in Cottonwood, AZ, Monday, July 18th. As per his wishes he was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Sunset Lake. Born James Markley Bird July 17, 1945 to Lloyd and Louise Bird. He was the 3rd child and the little brother to Alberta and Phil Bird. Jimmy enjoyed boy scouts, shooting rifles, and photography. He graduated from Kansas University and became a cameraman for companies making documentaries and commercial films. After retiring he enjoyed living the RV life and traveling the country, playing pickleball, shooting, and flying RC planes.

He is predeceased by his parents, his sister and his brother. He is survived by his former sister-in-law, Kaye Murray Bird, his sisterin- law, Mary Bird, 3 nephews,3 nieces, 11 great nephews and nieces and 7 great, great nephews and nieces.

Uncle Jimmy will be remembered for his fun loving attitude, his sense of adventure and his desire to travel and see new things and meet new people. May these things continue on inthe lives he touched.
