Crews early Tuesday responded to a townhouse fire in West Haven that started outside the structure, authorities said.
The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m. at the Haven Cove Townhomes in the area of 1630 West and 2000 South.
Weber Fire District Battalion Chief Mark Lund said the blaze ignited on the townhome's exterior before traveling inside. Both the interior and exterior sustained damages to the tune of about $15,000 - $20,000.
In addition to the WFD, firefighters from the Ogden City and Riverdale fire departments responded.
Lund said there are four townhomes in the structure, but only one unit was affected.
Fire crews had the incident under control within a matter of minutes, and no injuries were reported.
Photos taken at the scene show a scorched pillar and ceiling on the residence's front porch, though authorities could not confirm further details about where it originally sparked or if there was anything on the porch that may have ignited the townhome's exterior, such as a barbecue grill.
Lund said the cause is under investigation.
Further information was not immediately available.
