Flying J Ranch Park reopens after search crews find deceased person

The crews were looking for a missing person at the Jefferson County Open Space Park near Conifer.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colorado — Crews that were searching for a missing person at Flying J Ranch Park near Conifer found a deceased male on Tuesday morning, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO).

The park had been closed for the search and reopened to the public on Tuesday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased person was unknown, JCSO said.

The Sheriff's Office said there was "no reason to believe there is a threat to the public at this time."

The investigation was ongoing.
