SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM AT FIRST LUTHERAN SCHOOLFIRST LUTHERAN SCHOOL is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which provides nutritious meals at no charge to Children during the summer vacation. Children ages 1 - 18, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, are eligible to receive meals through SFSP. A person 19years of age and over who has a mental or physical disability (as determined by a state or local education agency) and who participates during the school year in a public or private, non-profit school program (established for the mentally and physically disabled) is also eligible to receive meals. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows: First Lutheran School, Operating May 23 to Aug 11, 2022. Operating days of the week are Monday through Friday.

NOC TARGETED ENROLLMENT DATES SETNorthern Oklahoma College has scheduled targeted enrollment dates for Fall 2022 at Tonkawa, Enid, and Stillwater.

The dates are Monday, Aug. 8 (Tonkawa), Thursday, Aug. 11 (Enid), and Friday, Aug. 12 (Stillwater). Noon is the starting time for each session.

Enrollment professionals and academic advisors will be on hand to assist students in the registration/enrollmentprocess.Please call 580.628.6668 in Tonkawa, 580.548.2353 in Enid, and 580.628.6904 in Stillwater for additional information.

TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR HALL OF FAME BANQUETThe Po-Hi Hall of Fame banquet will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center, 445 Fairview in Ponca City. Tickets are $50 per person or a reserved table for eight is $500 (eight tickets).

Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased at the PCPS Central Administration Building, 613 East Grand. Inquiries may be made to Chryl Gillespie at 580-767-8000.

The individuals selected to be inducted into the Ponca City High School Alumni Hall of Fame’s sixth annual induction ceremony include Walter Harris Jr. (Class of 1941), Don Schieber (Class of 1964), Lynn Moore (Class of 1966), John Stanley III (Class of 1979), Scott Askew (Class of 1980) and Elizabeth Poyner (Class of 1980).

Ticket sales proceeds will go towards Ponca City High School Hall of Fame Scholarships.

MCCORD ICE CREAM SOCIAL SCHEDULED ON FRIDAY The McCord Senior Center’s annual ice3 cream social will be on Friday, August 12 at the Center, 115 Mar yRoad. Free homemade ice cream and other desserts will be shared from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. In addition to free treats, there will be door prizes and live entertainment. The popular event is a gesture of gratitude from the Center’s board of directors to supporters and families.
