The Norwalk Warrior Productions YouTube channel and the KNIA3 stream will once again be partnering during the 2022-2023 school year to provide live coverage of all Norwalk home football games and select basketball games.

Those watching the Warrior Productions YouTube video stream will also hear the full radio broadcast produced by KNIA Sports, which is entering its third year of broadcasting Norwalk athletic events. The partnership was initially strengthened out of necessity when COVID-19 led to crowd restrictions during the 2020-2021 school year.

Norwalk’s five home football games this fall will be held September 2 vs. Des Moines Lincoln, September 9 vs. Lewis Central, September 23 vs. Boone, October 7 vs. Perry and October 21 vs. Bondurant-Farrar. Each varsity contest will start at 7:30 p.m., combining the video stream of the Warrior Productions YouTube channel with the live audio provided by the KNIA3 stream via kniakrls.com.

Norwalk Activities Director Josh Tobey says he is excited to continue the partnership that creates an enhanced experience for those people who can’t make it to the games. The combined Warrior Productions/KNIA3 stream has been in place for home football games the last two years and select basketball games during the 2020-21 season.

The late Bob Sandy, who broadcast Indianola and Simpson games on KBAB Radio for two decades, spearheaded Norwalk’s video streaming efforts in the late 2000s with a donation to the school’s technology department in his will. Norwalk was one of the first schools in Iowa to provide live video streaming of its sporting events.
