A tip given to Baxter County investigators of two local residents with multiple arrest warrants resulted in additional charges for drugs and weapons. Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Alsup of rural Mountain Home and 27-year-old Rayndii Tolliver of Cotter have been in the Baxter County Detention Center since Friday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, two investigators were tipped on Alsup and Tolliver living in a camper on property on County Road 782 in northern Baxter County. Arrest warrants were confirmed to be active, and both were on active supervision.

When authorities arrived, probation and parole officers made contact with Alsup and Tolliver in the camper. One of the investigators says he observed a light bulb with white residue inside and a straw attached. Alsup and Tolliver also reportedly provided two plastic baggies with a white crystal substance and two empty baggies. One baggie had a white crystal residue inside.

Authorities continued their search into the bedroom area and reportedly located a Ruger LCP .380. The gun was cleared and had one magazine with six bullets in the firearm.

Alsup and Tolliver are both charged with felony counts of trafficking a controlled substance (fentanyl), weapons possession during controlled substance offenses, firearm possession and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and they also face enhancement penalties as habitual offenders. The trafficking and weapons possession charges are Class Y felonies, the most serious classification of crime in Arkansas not punishable by death.

Alsup is also facing a misdemeanor count of fleeing and a charge of driving while license is suspended or revoked from an incident three months ago. Online jail logs also show two misdemeanor counts of non-payment of fines, a misdemeanor of failure to appear and a hold for other agencies.

Bond is set at $79,975 for Alsup and $75,000 for Tolliver.
