Residents Encouraged to Download Marshall County IN App

As students head back to school this week, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery and Marshall County Community Corrections Director Ward Byers encourage residents to download the Marshall County IN app to keep informed about road and weather conditions that could impact travel.

The app was originally created with first responders and law enforcement in mind to give immediate access to community organization that can help the public on substance abuse resources, suicide prevention, grief counseling, and other types of assistance available through 2-1-1. Since that initial process, the app features Emergency Management updates with severe weather and other emergency preparedness information, highway department information, Health Department news and the location of the mobile medical unit, parks and recreation, Project Hope, Historical Society, Marshall County Crossroads, and those valuable resources to direct members of the public to obtain services needed for quality of life.

The mobile app was paid for with a grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.

To download the app, visit the app store or Google Play and search for Marshall County Indiana.
